What if one wanted to move to a Muslim country but was turned away? Is that not what happened to a lot of Somalis during the civil war? They found sanctuary in "gaalo" lands because their so-called Muslim "brothers" refused them entry.
Posh u should sepearate your hate for arabs and your hate for islam. They are not the same thing! :)

Fah,

I am not a muslim scholar, but I think and believe one can live in any country in the world...

What muslimnimo are they talking about? Somalis call themselves muslims and look what they do to each other... If I want to have kids..I don't want them to grow in that place where hate is the basic principle of their life..

Islaanimo is a way of life..Not just a name, not just a Jalaabiib la jiido, not just cumaamad cas oo madaxa la saarto!!!

It is way more than that...One should act as if he/she is under the microscope of Allaah SWT all the time...

Move on people and use common sense. 6 Million Muslims in North America, 3 Million in South America and Over 60 Million in Europe. Should all those people go back to Muslim countries? I hate those who make Islam hard for everybody. If nobody is intervening with your religion practices, why the whining?

According to some sheikhs it is haram , citing that ayah, hadith that FAH pointed out. However other sheikhs say as long as you enjoy freedom to practice your religion then it is permissible. Allah yaclam.

Laakin as somalis were the hell can we go. In arab countries we would be treated as 2nd class citizens and would'nt enjoy our rights to education, employment etc and Somalia isnt exactley a haven for us.

No doubt that living in a kufr country is hard for your deen. But some even say, you practice better in a non muslim country, because you are constantly striving against fitnah.

Also there are conditions in living in a non muslim country, education, dawah, business, health care.

if your askin the question from a logical and common sense of views fine 'cause we're probably not learned Muslims (ulema, sheikh, fiqih) to answer whether it's haram or not. permanently living in non-Muslim country isn't in line with the teachings of Islam. living there for a definite time (i.e. for education) is ok
