We owned slaves and they farmed the fields and stuff. The Arabs in Zanzibar/Oman just brought them as trade, they didn't really use them themselves.

They didn't really rule it, they looked over it as Somali wasn't a country like we think about a country today. The powers laid with the different clans, and the Sultan of Zanzibar just kinda looked over the trade in the ports, and Europeans negotiated with him over it.

Reer Xamar came a long time before this Seyyid Said (Sultan of Zanzibar/Oman) and his ruleship over the ports.

Yes, my great grandfather owned slaves. Slaves were in the south, and were used as farmers. Most slaves were owned by Digil y Mirifle clans, Wacdaan and Biimaal.

lol you guys make me laugh...thats stupid....apologizing kulahaa.....is apologizing going to bring them back their dead brothers and sisters? no...is apologizing going bring them back their land...no...is apologizing going to bring back their dignity...? no....too little too late...the only apologizing is for the australians to go back to where they came from...and lets be honest thats no going to happened..lol...so there is no point...and that goes to the bantus...even thought i dont understand what did we exactly do to them...?

Something along the lines of enslaving them and making them farm and what not. Not as bad as the American enslavement though. But unlike America, these guys did get there 40 acres and a mule.
