Dear Brother,

We the Jebertis in Eitrea and The Darood ( jaberti Ismail) in Somalia we are from the same origin and the same people. Some time and some where( Ard Zulaie') we had a small kingdom( emirate),namely Ifta Jaberta, our language used to be Arabic beside the local language ( I don't know). This emirate was attacked by an Abassinya king the jebertis of Ifta jeberta resisted bravely the aggrasion but it was not a balanced war and they dispersed some moved south to settle what is today Somalia and some moved north and setteled in what is today Eritrea, Tigray( Ethipain Current PM home land) and others crossed the Red sea to reach Yamane, Saudi Arabia. There are 2,000,000 jebertis in Tigray, 750,000 or more in Eritrea , 500,000 in Walkite ( The Home land of the hero jeberti Ftawrary Nuru Wadi Fukra) and unknown numbers in other part of Ethiopia. Our Brothers the Darood( Jebert Ismail) , you are the back bone of our jeberti Nation and we,the Jebertis in Eritrea we are proud of you.

Abu Baega Al-Jeberti

jeberti derive from the word jeberna when the prophet pbuh said forced to let some of the sahaba migrate to east africa, jeberna=forced in arabic when the sahaba arrived to e.africa king armac (negashi) was there and you know the rest of the story, some sahaba stayed ,lived and died in e,africa including the daughter of the prophet pbuh raqeya may allah be pleased with her they were known as the jeberti and when e.african converted to islam they took that name too.
