Mowliid Al Nabi is quite big in Seattle. I am related to a large what they called today "Suufi" family. They bring together around 500+ people every year for the event.

Voltage join us this year it's in Newholly gathering Hall just like last year.

Its bidca, its basically christmas for "Muslims," and if these people's kids ask to celebrate their birthday the will say no. You mowliid celebrators know that there are only two holidays in Islam and no more. There are ways of remembering the prophet without making it an annual holiday. Suufi are truly lost.

Number of islamic scolars such as muhammad alwai la maliki a welll known malilki scolara from saudi arabi who taught on the sacred mosque gibril haddan and zair Shakir . all subcrisbing to the sufi moverment and yusuf al qaradaawi the primary scholar of the muslim brotherhood moverment have giving there apprval for the observance of mawlid the cite hadith where muhammad recommended fasting on mondays as that was the day he was born and also the day prohercy decended on they suggest thtat fasting on mondays is also a way of commenmorating muhamamds birthday however there is division among them on lawfullness of the methods of the celebrations. most accet that it is prasseworthy as as it not against the sharia law inapproriate mingiling of the sexes consuming frobidden food or drink such as alcahol or playing music etc and that wont happen becous we are all muslims
