Postby Executive » Fri Mar 14, 2008 5:50 pm

Baaq ay Soo Saareen Waxgaradka Iyo Odayaasha Beelaha Ciise Maxamuud Iyo Dhulbahante .

Warkii 14-Mar-2008

Baaq ku wajahan masuuliyiinta maamul goboleedka puntland oo la sheegay inay shirkado batrool kula heshiiyeen inay shidaal kaga baaraan deegaanada hol hol iyo suni jiif ayaa waxaa bayaan kasoo saaray waxagaradka iyo odayaasha beelaha ciise maxamuud iyo dhulabahante taasoo ay ku sheegeen in arintaasi laga feejignaado islamrkaana aan lagu degdegin .

Waxagaradka iyo odayaashan ayaa sidoo kale xusay in arintaas ay ka fiirsadaan masuuliyiinta maamulka puntland taasoo ay sheegeen in hadii la isku dayo in arintaasi lagau dhaqaaqo ay keeni doonto xaalad olaadeed oo ka dhalata islamrkaana ay ugu baaqayaan shirkadaha shisheeye inaysan siku dayin umada deegeenkeed inay shidaal ka baaraan waxii ka yimaadana aysan hadhoow wax shaqo ah kul lahayn waa siday hadalka u sheegeene .

Bayaankan oo ay saxaafada usoo gudbiyeen waxgaradka iyo odsayaal caan ka ah dadka ku dhaqan deegaankaasi islamrkaana kasoo jeeda beelaha aan soo sheegnay ayaa waxay gaarayaan ilaa 150-xubnood oo dhamaantood diidan in maamulka puntland isagoo aan damaanad ka haysan dadka deegaanka ku dhaqan uu iska galo holw aysan raali ahayn .

Si kasataba ha ahaatee bayaankan ay soo saareen waxgaradka iyo oadayaasha beelaha ciise maxamuud iyo dhulbahante ayaa u muuqda mid hadii ay maamulka puntland ka talaabsadaan keeni kara xaalad murugsan oo keenta xiisad colaadeed .

Hungry people should not reject free food. Oil means jobs, bigger income, and more attention from Western countries.

Just what they need, not what they should be avoiding.

^ You need real authority to negotiate on behalf of the country. There are a lot more involved than simply bring in a rig and extracting oil. No one gave a clan chief like Adde permission to sell somali oil.

Gamadid,

There is nothing called "Somali" anymore - it was a great brotherhood that lasted for three rocky decades. It is back to tribal regulations and rules. Just as there are multi-national corporations who are digging oil in Kurdistan for Kurds alone, there can be multi-national corporations that dig oil for Northeastern Somalis and them alone. Its not an impossibility, much rather a reality. Conoco put good money into Puntland and building a new runway in Garowe, the investment must pay off. But we'll just have to see.

I think oil can really solve some problems in Somalia, and that's just that. We are already far past sanity and humanity, there is nowhere to go but up.

Zack,

Not with men like Cadde saxib. The money can be a source of more violence and devision between clans as it is guaranteed that one single subclan and their associates will rob the rest. Why do you think they are too eager to sell somali oil? We can't let few benefit and screw Somalia's soil and environment for good.

UncleBin

Hardly saxib. I know only Cadde Muse and his close circle will benefit. Hawiye sheekadiisa meel iska dhig, the clans who reside in Puntland yaa waxba ka arki doonin. Puntland adminstration couldn't invest the money they earned from the ports in the public service. They rob the salary of the police and public servants. You already know the dispute that is raging about who controls where and how some police cadets who were sent to training abandoned the academy. They feared their positions will be gone and their replacements while they are in training will permanently take over the source of income they had. there is a lot of money to be made and the oil scheme is just fueling an unnecessary war.

Hawiye needs peace bro and clan militia from Puntland and Mudug to leave them alone. That is what Hawiye needs.

Paind-Monk, you are right, wealth can bring peace, but the question is, is the current admisntration qualified to introduce prosperity adn control it to the benefit of the locals? It is about management and who is qulaified to do this rather than anything else. If people see real authority who is just, they won't have issues with the investment. People are distrustful.

I just hope it doesnt become like every other African nation where the country has oil but only a few corrupt people benefit while the country remains extremely poor..

Look at Nigeria..

Reality 99% of the people of Puntland wont see or benefit from that money let alone anyone else..

Somali society is an organic system of checks and balances. When someone crosses the line, they pay for it or their clan does. And Puntland is home to less than one million people, the oil will be shared or there will be hell to pay, and no one will risk the region's safety to pocket a few extra dollars, and EVEN if they do, there is much more wealth left to share.

^The harbingers of misery and cynicism.

The people of puntland are educated and smart enough to know what's good for them and what's not. We can take care of our own

Corruption is a disease among all governments, the puntland government is no different but progress is being made there at the least.

Oil deal is a positive development and I have full confidence everyone in the state would benefit if not directly then indirectly through better schools, better roads, universities etc.

Piad-Monk,

you are being optimistic to a fault. Greed has no end and you won't see the money reflect on the land and its people. We shall see what happens. Just remember what I said here if I am proven right.

I don't think rebel-cat liked the population figures you gave mate :)) try multiplication and raise the number to a two million in that corner of Somalia :))

Quantity is not as important as quality, whether it's 2 million or 200,000 people, the people in that region have a rich history of being self determining and civilized people.

Can we say the same of yours? We both know you want the worse possible outcome for that region, no need for pretend games.
