Amazing! Probably you have no knowledge of Sufism yet here you are referring to them as cinema goers and etc., I'm sure the "daanbi" you've accumulate in that sentence of your would hunt you to your grave. You know sometime it better to remain silence then to speak of things you know so little about.

Sh. Abdul-Qadir Jeylaani wasn't a saint (as some claim), for the concept of sainthood doesn't exist in Islam.

So are you implying the Sheikh to same is a saint when as you said yourself sainthood is something that does not exist in Islam, I mean why not just go the full yard and say Sufis are indeed "gaalo" because this is what your implying really. Wahaabis sometimes crack me up Wallaahi.

They know full well calling another Muslim "gaal" is prohibited yet they still go out of their way to call devoted Muslims outright "gaalo." As they say ignorance is bliss!

So, why not make siyaaro for the saxaba?

The "saxaba" (radiyallahu anhu) never set foot in Somali, however, this sheikh your referring to did and is buried in Somalia, and for this reason many Somalis do visit his grave from time to time to make du'aa for him out of respect...The "saxaba" are too many to count, but I'm sure upon hearing their name this "people" your speaking ill of do out of respect as our "diin" teaches say "RADIYALLAHU ANHU."

If you have anymore negativity toward such practicing Muslims I'll be hear to give you a respond, your not to blame since your no more then the very ones who does everything you've mentioned (iPods listener, cinema goer and TV watcher). Is not your fault that you were exposed to the Wahaabi cult who go around hunting kids your age while playing basketball giving you such ideas about other Muslims, something I've experience myself. I only hope you had more knowledge about the "diin" so others don't use you to further hate between Muslims.

^You got my point kid; you'll do all of us a favor if you keep your filth to yourself since a practicing Muslim wouldn't dare speak ill of other Muslims.

Eternauta,

See the Wikipedia article:

Thankx for the correction Grant, by the way to my knowledge the Sheikh did come to Somalia once in his life time, did he or did he not?

Shilling,

I can't find any evidence that he did.

"After completion of education, Abdul Qadir Jilani abandoned the city of Baghdad, and spent twenty-five years as a wanderer in the desert regions of Iraq as a recluse.[1] He was over fifty years old by the time he returned to Baghdad in 1127, and began to preach in public. He moved into the school belonging to his old teacher al-Mukharrimii, there he engaged himself in teaching. Soon he became popular with his pupils. In the morning he taught hadith and tafsir, and in the afternoon held discourse on mysticism and the virtues of the Qur'an.

He busied himself for forty years in the service of Islam from 521 to 561 AH. During this period hundreds of people converted to Islam because of him and organized several teams to go abroad for missionary purposes. He arrived in Indian sub-continent in 1128, and stayed at Multan, Pakistan. "

He was created Pricipal of the Hanbali School in Baghdad in 1134 and died there is 1166.
