Another Somali Youth shot dead in Minneapolis

Minneapolis police are investigating the shooting of a man found dead in a car Friday night.

Officers found the city's 11th homicide victim dead about 9:15 p.m. in a car near Sixth Street and Cedar Ave S., said Sgt. Bill Palmer. Police had received multiple reports of a shooting in the area.

Authorities haven't identified the man. But a Somali community spokesman, Omar Jamal, said he met with the man's family this morning. He said the family identified the victim as Abdulahi H. Abdi, 18, a student.

Jamal said it isn't clear why Abdi was in the car or why he was shot.

Police have offered no information about a motive.

Its sickening to figure out that I know the slain's older brother. I know his elder brother and I know the slain guy, but I know them separately. My lil brother made the connection now.

And its Somalis vs Somali violence. The slain's other brother is serving 18 years for killing two Skinnies just a while back. This might be a revenge is related to those killings

I visit Cedar like four or five times a year, I'm not really knowledgeable with the little kids there. In fact, whenever I go there, its like a ghost town, with a few old men on the streets and you can even hear the wind.
