There are three types of sinners that Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection; neither He will purify them nor will He even look at them; rather they will suffer severe punishment: an older person who commits adultery, a king or ruler who lies to his subjects, and a poor person who acts arrogantly! If you saw people doing adultery, you need to produce 3 other witnesses who saw it. Otherwise, in an Islamic State, there would be no case.

If there aren't 4 witnesses who saw it without a shadow of a doubt, it is a no go. And Allah knows.

Allah s.w.t makes no distinction between married or unmarried ppl who committ zina in the Qur'an...the punishment is 100 lashes and only if they are caught doing the act in public by 4 people.

Salaam.
We are only accounted for our sins ONCE. So if we committ a sin, Allah may punish us in this dunyah/in this life OR in the grave .. So when one is going through hardship this is seen as a purification from his sin, a test.
