this thing about us smelling is not the first time I heard it....wallahi I hate it when I see a somali girl who stinks because I know some stupid person will believe that we all stink.

in high school this girl came up to me and asked why somalis stink..and i am like what......

war somalis don't stink. it is just a baseless insult intended to demean you. they don't need to come across a non-hygienic somali to say somalis stink. no one smell worse than a wet white person......they fockin smell like dogs ass crack.

everybody smells different.
if you have a sensitive nose, you will notice that people from different countries smell differently,
it may even be unpleasant.

i found allot of africans to smell so bad as to affect my gag reflex,
and allot of others with only a faint yet strange though pleasant odour.

the same with asians,
i find most indians to be unpleasant almost as bad as the west africans i came across.

and its the same from the other side i guess,
i japanese friend once told me he found most whites that he came across to smell like milk
and he couldnt put a name to my smell, couse i use too much perfume
but he said it was strange

normaly they are too reserved

You guys are so damn sensitive. Its not that Somalis are hated everywhere its that we are EVERYWHERE. There are too many damn Somali refugees at every place on earth. We will never be respected b/c Southern Somalia is a fuking complete mess.

I hope all of these people complaining/whining go back to Mogadishu and be apart of the clean up. Either have some dignity in your own country or completely be treated like crap in Western countries.

If Somaliland can't get recognition, we can't trade with other countries. Do you understand now why I don't live there? There are no jobs there b/c Southern Somalia is a wasteland that continues to embarass us all over the world.

You are an idiot. The reason Somaliland is not getting recognized has nothing to do with the current situation of Mogdishu. The West just does not want to recognize Somaliland at the moment and I am sure as I know I will die some day that you would still be here in the west even if Somaliland got recognized so please cut the bullshiit.

Sorry, but there is a BIG difference between Somaliland and Southern Somalia.

Somaliland = peace, stability and working to improve the country

Southern Somalia = war, mooryans, warlords, American soldiers being dragged on the streets, Ethiopians defecating in mosques, displaced people etc etc etc etc.

There is no point in separating yourself and blaming your fellow Somalis for the ignorant behavior of others. Yes Somalis did put themselves in the situation they are currently but that is no reason to justify the hate towards poor Somali immigrants in western countries by the descendants of poor European immigrants and African slaves.

Actually Its true what they saying. I have seen a lot of old people stink horribly, I am assuming that its from the Uunsi and other Somali food smelling. Average young guys and girls are the cleanest you meet. Those old moms are giving us bad name

welfare abuse, this is the root cause of sooo many of our problems....the men dont work because their wives collect money..no dad around to watch the kids and to make sure that they dont get into trouble.

I seriously think people should be kicked off welfare after a year...


The only decent somali families have a strong father and mother....not some khat lover or absentee father and a mother who collects welfare...living in some bootleg housing project with 8 kids.

basically to get respect we must get off welfare, less kids, and education

we should also note that most somalis have been in the country for less than 20 years, thats not even enough time for one generation to finish their education...
