Never heard of such a theory.

I suggest you start reading about the history of Islam, and learn more about the Jihads Prophet Muhammed(swt) performed. You'll be surprised as to how he recruited, and how he went to great lengths to gain more fighters. Jihad is not something that should be taken lightly, there is gaalo in your country and you're talking about "Shabaab have enough men." Pull your head out of arse.

Any sites you recommend for reading about the history of Islam?

Listen guys,

All that alshabaabs need right now is dua and ammunitions. Mukhtar roboow said we got so many Muhaajirin's right now that we can't even afford their ammunitions. if you wanna help, send money. they got more men than they can actually account for.

Al-shabaab doesnt care about the State of Somalia, they are led by people who believe that a horn of African Osama led caliphate dream could be achieved and is possible. Is that feasible? How many more years of war in Somalia and Somalis have to suffer?

The truth is, Ayrow, Abu Mansoor and the new Shabab leader Sheikh Mukhtar Abdirahman Abu Zubey and the few top leaders of al-shabaab were all Osamam's Jihadi Afghani brainwashed footsoldiers in Afghanistan, do these people believe in a sovereign Somali State or in an Al-qaeda concept of an African Caliphate. Their war theatre is Somalia. Let Somalia burn they say, our way or the highway.

On the other hand, wise Somali Muslims like Sheikh Sharif and many others care about Somalia, Somalis and Islam and see nothing beneficial in Al-shabaab concepts and want to see peace established for Somalis who long suffered as soon as possible.

You make it sound as if sheikh Osama is bad, negative, criminal, backward, etc. What do you have against sheikh Osama?

Osama Bin Laden is a criminal because he masterminded the killings of 3000 innocent civilians. Our prophet(swt) never targeted civilians in any of his wars, we as Muslims should follow his ways rather than praising a coward.

Brother, the topic is peace in Somalia. I had no qualms with Osama Bin Laden or a Jaffer Bin Salim of Saudi Arabaia if they were fighting for their own Saudi cause. But I have problems with them only, when their own countries are prospering, peaceful and they can't fight in their own countries and export their causes to poor and suffering Somalis in Somalia as a proxy war.

But sheikh Osama isn't enjoying the prosperity and peace of Saudi Arabia. He quit the easy and comfortable life during the late 70s/early 80s when he went to Afghanistan to liberate it from the Soviet occupation. He spent $millions of his own personal fortune in helping needy Afghans, building roads, schools, hospitals, orphanages and other important infrastructures. Even an important high ranking American official commended sheikh Osama for the good deeds he did. Sheikh Osama and fellow mujahideens were instrumental in defeating the Soviet occupiers. Today, he leads a humble lifestyle and lives on the cold mountains of Afghanistan/Pakistan.

Brother. should we rewind back time and point to fingers to the forces who created the slogans against the Soviet invassion in Afghanistan? Same people who orchestrated the boycott of the Moscow olympics in 1980. The C.I.A and the United States, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan created, funded and supported all opposition groups against the Soviets in Afghanistan including Osama. Mythical Osama emerged from the power-play of these powers against the Soviets, they are now old friends fighting.
Our discussion is Somalia now, not Aghanistan in 1980's.

Brother, you seem to be more interested in Osama Bin Laden's biography and Ronald Reagon's (CIA, U.S government's) crusade against the Soviet invassion in Afghanistan than peace in Somalia which this thread was intended.
