"in' drives the point more forcefully than 'on' dont u think? On' suggests --casual thing on the mind. In' suggests--a forcefully, interior thing that is ever looming? Got ma point mah? :roll:

When you say what 'in' your mind, you are invoking a mental image of what physically lies in their mind. And since "mind" refers to consiousness, thaughts and preception; which has no physicall exitance, it perhaps may to lead the person reading your question to completely rule it out and jump to the next topic.
