The Sultan of the Ciidagale in 1960 was the nationalist sultan Cabdilaahi Sultaan Diiriye, thus by 1960 the Ciidagale had:
1- Sultaan Guuleed (1750-1810)
2- Sultaan Faarax Sultaan guuleed (killed by Dul Gaduud (H.Y, Isxaaq, 1830)
3- Sultaan Xasan Sultaan Faarax (d 1870's)
When Sultaan Xasan died all his childern were under age and a period of conflict took place , the Ciidagale had no sultan, Ducaalae sultaan Guuleed (father of the poet Qawdhan Ducaale and Nuur Dhegecun) decalred himself the caretaker sultan since he is the youngest son of Guuleed and the uncle of the dead sultan Xasan faarax guuled. The brothers of Xasan in the other side , ( Maxamed Faarax, Nuur Faarax, Hure Faarax (grandfather of Buuba), warsame faarax, Xirsi Faarax "Jabane" and Warfaa Faarax) all demanded that sultante should remain in the house of Faarax , and persented Warsame Faarax as the new sultan.
During the day of his coronation the battle of Daroor took place and the Ciidagale and Ogaadeen fought over Daroor and the Ciidagale dislodged the Ogaadeen from Daroor in 1878 and Warsame Sultaan Faarax the would be sultan was killed in Daroor again delying the sultanate.
