This is no more then the little hit and run they've been doing all over the south, believe they will rob the villagers there of what little they have and be gone by dawn. Trust me other then terrorizing the villagers the only other thing this group will get out of this is attracting Ethiopian tanks and US bombers over to this area. To Al-Shabab sympathizers this nothing but victory even if it means holding the place for few hours, but to the larger Somali community this is nothing short of death and distraction.
