Why is Eritrea threatening to invade Djibouti?

Postby American-Suufi » Tue May 27, 2008 11:17 pm

Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh said his army is in a dangerous border stand-off with neighbouring Eritrea's military, according to a release issued Friday. via Sudan Tribune

Is it because Djibouti is attempting to host a peace process between their Somali brethen, the warring factions in Somalia? Do they want the Ethiopian soldiers to be permanently based in Somalia and far from the Eritrean borders? Somalis should applaud and appreciate the tireless efforts of the Djiboutian leaders to make Somali leaders understand peace brings back Somalia's lost dignity. When will Djibouti declare Jihaad against "Christian Eritrea"?

OLD NEWS. Why Somalis think everything revolves around them? Those warring countries have their own problems and it has nothing to do with Ethiopians whatsoever. You are a conspiracy jerk

Salam American suffi.

It is in the interst of Eritrea to see Somalis sort out their problem and become counter balace to Ethiopia in the south. And the sooner Somalis figure out their misunderstanding the better for Eritrea.

As far as Djoubuti. Well Djoubuti is the Vassal of France and Western power and If our Somali brothers thinks that any proposal which comes to solve Somalis problem by westerners powers...Then the same western powers wouldnt have encouraged and Finance the Invasion of Somalia to begin with.

In reference to " Eritrea threatening to invade Djoubiti" "news is just non sense...It is just a PR gimmick to portray the state of Eritrea as bellicose and warmonger..And this fullfill the purpose of justifying their failure to enforce the Eri-Ethio border commission.

2000 Eritrean soldiers are in Moqadushu fighting along the ICU
is still vivid in our memory. so becareful before we make conclusion.

Salam!!!!
