Booth's journalism credentials include the New Statesman, the Mail on Sunday, the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail. She is a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq and a supporter of the Stop the War Coalition. She has appeared as a panellist on Have I Got News For You, as well as working as a broadcaster in both radio and television. Currently she writes columns and features predominantly for the Mail on Sunday. She regularly reviews the UK newspapers live on air for Sky News, BBC One and BBC News 24.
In both 2005 and 2006 Lauren Booth travelled to Palestine where she has interviewed Mahmoud Abbas. She is a respected campaigner for Palestinian justice, and has given two well received speeches on the plight of those living in the West Bank and Gaza, for the Royal Geographical Society and Arab Media Watch. She is a member of Media Workers Against the War and the NUJ.
In 2006 she was a contestant on the ITV reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, donating the money she raised to the Interpal charity.[1] She is a half-sister of Cherie Blair and the sixth daughter of the actor Tony Booth.
She lives in the South of France with her two daughters but continues to work in London.
