Gifted,

Adeer, I had this Arab guy trying to explain to me why Beer is okay to drink. He said "Khamri is haram. Khamri is hard liquor ! while Beer is fermented drink similar to yoghurt

About selling alcohol, a lot of Muslims do it. Its hard to own a restaurant and not sell alcohol.

Pakistanis take the xalaal meat thing too far. They may drink alcohol, not pray a day in their life but when it come to xalaal meat they go ballistic. I dont' get it.

Murax,

Saxiib, I was dating this Akhwan woman and she was ballistic about the Halal food. She would get upset if she saw me eating meat at non Halal stores, forced me to trek to NoVA to get her some.

Still, there were plenty of sins that were more major than halal meat that didn't bother her

lol Englighten sis, I don't even look at the E number stuff, its just confusing. Nowaydays people just put the halal sign up to attract muslims customers, some don't even know how to spell it, hilal, helal, hidal, wtf. Once we even asked this shop keeper if his meat was halal and he said yes, when it obviously wasn't.

RER UK are obsessed with HALAL food. For me, I simply say, "Bismillahi raxmani raxim" before biting into the juicy meat

FAH,

I somehow don't see the reason jumping on 495 to VA to fetch meat.

I know these Pakis who go up to a goat farm in Aberdeen to buy several goats and slaughter it there and bring the meat to be divided by the purchasers.

ES,

Bacon flavored   No excuses when u see the bacon.

Don't be like my neighbor, Qawdhan who used to call bacon, "Lean Beef"

Is the meat in supermarkets halal in the states? I noticed people are more halal concious in the uk as well, maybe it has something to do with the massive Asian population.
