What is it with somali women and dark lips/lipstick?
Is it appealing? Was it fashionable back in the day? do men like it? I dunno......
Every once in a while when Im getting ready to go out my mom would say "darker lipstick would look nice" I personally hate dark lipstick.
I have pink lips and I love it, clear lip gloss does all the tirck for me...

So ladies and fellas...tell me whats up with the darkness???

You are suppose to wear lipstick that inhances your color not makes you darker. Personally, I dont wear any dark tones because I have pinkish colored lips and it would look just weird. But some of us do have dark lips so it fits that they wear something within their tone. I hate people who have dark lips and wear red.

FAH : No they dont, some of my moms friends ALWAYS wear brown lipstick...

Isma: Some dark lips look good with red, as long as its the right shade of red. I think those women who have naturally dark lips are very beautiful (esp when they wear shiny lip gloss)

I hate the damn thing in general wether it is darker or not. My shirts are mostly white, and when some girls get close to you..., i guess that is enough to say.

I agree. Dark lip alone with a hint of clear lip gloss will look fabulous. I think with any lipstick color, its always better to keep it closer to your skin tone.

I've got dark lips and i use red lipstick, the right shade of course...if not i just use some shiny lipgloss i think it looks good.

I don't use lipstick. I've got pink lips too, so I just use clear lip gloss.
