I think it's more appropriate to mourn rather than celebrate. What do we have to show for being independent close to half a century? Only to be colonised again by rifraffs and the scum of the earth, sad indeed

So let me get this straight, it is infact your reply that makes my statement look stupid, but not the statement itself. If you don't think that the majority of the people that celebrate july 1st aren't hardcore TFG supports then that's your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. And what's ur obsession with arses?

Yes, it looks stupid. Did you go to every Xaflad around the whole world to all these people celebrating July 1 and June 26 and you made a survey saying they are TFG supporterS?

Hell, I went to one with not that many people supporting the TFG, the Imam and other community leaders spoke, speaking the same mantra we see and say every day "OMG, WE DONT HAVE A COUNTRY, ITS BEEN 20 YEARS, blah blah" we know, we know!

But atleast show our honor and dedication for the people before us who liberated the country from the colonialists, if people wanna celebrate it doesn't mean they are part of a clan or particular faction.

And arses is a good term used by the Brits, learn it

Did you go to every xaflad around the world? Truthfully, I should have rephrased my statement and said that most are TFG supporters!! It's nice that you want to remember what those did for somalia in the past, but its bittersweet don't you think. Anarchy and chaos is what somalia has to show for, for the last 20yrs or so, and before somalia was being ruled by a dictator for about 20yrs. You want to celebrate, then go ahead, but don't expect the rest of us to join in. And yes I am familiar with the term arse, your excessive use of the word is kinda odd though wouldn't u say.

Today is a sad reminder of how truly pathetic Somalis are. Until we get our act together, there is nothing to celebrate.

Horta, for those of you who celebrated. What did you celebrate? The fact that our country is occupied by another AIDs ridded third world country? The fact that over a million of our people are faced with distructions, starvation and all sorts of illnessness? The fact that we are the joke, scum of the earth. People who are blessed with beautiful lands, religion and, culture;yet cant seems to get beyond pathetic clanish wars. :?: :?:

Ilahaow caqli iyo damiir nugu hanuuni. Shameless bunch of idiots!!!

Being in touch with reality is not self hate. I would be self hating had I condomned and denonunced by Somalinimo. All I Have stated is the fact that we have indeed disappointed our founding fathers and what they struggled to achieve and dead for. Its like you asking me to celebrate after my own family's house is destroyed and my brother was killed in it. Would you celebrate? And what? His life and how hard he we worked to build that house. Somalis need to mourn and realize the depth of their self-destruction.ITS OKAY TO DO SO.
