^ Glad things worked out and back to functionality. Sytem Restore and setting the PC system to a previous date is often helpful and fixes minor anomalies when they appear.

This must be as annoying as hell bro. So was it only with the system restore that u were able to get speakers going. u said under sound u only have high def audio, so do u have a "Other devices" category on that list?

Yes. And I have only the high def audio under that category when going through the Device manager..and the sound/game/video.

I have system devices??? which gives you a whole host of under categories..

Exs: High def audio controller, system speakers, sytem timer..etc etc..


Btw, I have the manage audio devices under the Sound catgory..

Cawar i get that sxb, but i'm trying to figure out if we're facing missing or corrupted drivers. So on ur system devices so u have a category named (Other devices) under device manager. kinda like this

I cant see the image..but I see no other devices there either.

The funny thing is the other night when I lost the speakers sound..it was working with the headsets..and now that I had the system restored its(the headsets) gone again.

Gotta go now..but see what you can do and thanks..as I will log on again in 1 hr or so.
