Thats a perfectly legitimate question. Where she went wrong is the way she went about and asked the question. I'm sure she had good intentions and definitely did ask the question in right location but wrong timing.

i can't count how many couples i know who met at Khalid Bin Waliid Mosqeu(in Toronto)...or through Al-Maqrib classes.

This happend today at my local masjid and that woman ruined the whole muxaadara...So guess how the sheekh reacted.

i witnissed one lady.
i call her a grand mother.
the nerve she sent a letter and by accident i had to read it
i still feel guilty but when i read it, i was asked what to do?
i said let us destroy it because that would put my family in problems.
she has a nerve and still visit the family.lol

She could asked allah in private, ...xitaa wadaadadi baa xishoodi subxanallah...a muslim should be modest and full of XAYA..not act like that...if you just saw how her brother reacted how pissed he was..oh my god.

I agree with you on this..its good that she came to the mosque hoping to find a someone with diin and aqlaaq, but she should extend her good regard further and ask the imam in private to help her with her search.

How old is she? At least she did not go there specifically asking for a white or a black convert. My reaction would be, in all honesty, a complete shock. I do not really expect people to think about such things while at a Mosque. I like to personally separate my woman hunting job from all other things and at this age or any age for that matter, I would never resort to something like that. It does not produce any positive results.
