2- He obviously works for someone, I mean, someone must be paying you for all this, who is it?

3- He NEVER states any of his sources, how could we take him seriously?

I've found a lot of evidence for the old stories and myths of Somalia as either being factual or a grain of truth, but the old genealogies and histories don't seem to have any respect anymore.

I'm not obsessed, I find Somali history fascinating, but you would too if you knew more about it.

Why is it so unreasonable that I would want to study a subject I find interesting as a hobby?

The vast majority of what I've learned has come from just talking to people, though there are interesting books on the subject, such as the "Invention of Somalia". Ironically the most respected works, by men such as Lewis or Cerulli, are the ones with the biggest factual holes and inconsistencies, and I consider them largely useless, though interesting for their observations if not their conclusions.

4- Contrary to his claims, he is very biased in what he posts.

If there's one thing I've learned, it is that you cannot be "unbiased" in terms of Somalia unless you plain old don't talk about anything at all. Some deranged lunatic could run around town stealing underpants and you'd have the man's clan defending him and everyone else condemning him, but to say that beheading a deranged lunatic is wrong, or that the man shouldn't have been stealing underpants, and all of a sudden you've got a clan bias.
