Your whole post was funny, read it again. I think people are more concerered with music, the dancing sheikhs, drummers, etc rather then whether they are standing or sitting. Or is that just me?
So salafi is a sect representing 2% of the muslims, are there any on somalinet?. And do you consider sufi to be mainstream??
Personally I hate people going around shouting Wahabi, Salafi, Kutubi, etc....I attended a Khalid Yasin lecture almost 2 weeks ago and he was talking about this. Its beyond ridiculous.

Dancing of the Sufi's is permissible/impermissible thing is quite well covered in this PDF. There is nothing categorically incorrect about the use of drums. Lastly, music is an issue that has not had any scholarly consensus reached, hence, condemnation of those who follow a different scholarly opinion where music and dhikr are concerned is not on the books.

Attending the lecture was your first mistake. That man puts all this African-American angst, and wild conspiracy theories into his lectures. Amazing stuff.

Are you sure you're not sufi? I'm not pro-salafi or takfiri but hadrah is bidca, have you seen how it's performed with sometimes male dancers acting like women accompanied by drums, and music. That's a mockery of islam.
