Djibouti has had like two Presidents in its history. Its a small country, its not as diverse as Somalia, therefore the clanship isn't that big of a deal for the President.

Somalia is a completely different story, every clan wants to rule and is obsessed about being the supreme leader of all Somalis.

Everyone wants to be Siad Barre and its just never going to happen.

The only way one can rule the Somalis is through "carrot and sticks"
Ismacil Cumar Geele has all the characteristics of a monarch. He knows everything that goes in the country , he interferes in everything , just like Riyaale and Caadde Muse do .
The only diffrence is he's got more $ to spread amongst a smaller number of people than the other 2.
Djiboutians never experienced war , so simply put , waa dad ka degan somalida kale .{ most of them live in Djibouti city , the failed afar guerilla never made it passed the norther cities}.
CY or anybody else for that matter cannot duplicate that in Somalia.
Somalia has to be cut into small governable pieces , highly decentralized, where the President , just like in Switzerland , would be a "primus inter pares" .

I agree however the thing is, even if you have small governable pieces or even states like Puntland, the leaders will want to be their own mini-dictator and hoard everything.

Emperior, thats the format right now, just reversed.

You have elements in Somalia that want to keep the status quo of isbaaro and shid like that because they have gotten used to it over the last 18 years and have profited off it, the culture for governance is impossible in Somalia, IMO

Ina Baxar,

I think it'll come, when I'm old and gray or long after I die (whenever that is). I know people are hungry for peace, but the same warlords, mooryans, killers, and of course f@ggots are running things in Somalia still through their different guises.

I keep up hope, but the realist in me says it ain't ever gonna happen.

The djbouti peace process is good for all, and it's a chance for somali's to work out there differences.

Besides even the president of djbouti is one corrupt individual himself, so looking for perfect leaderships is just a waste of time.

At the end of the day, this is africa.

Well, I'm only terrorizing the idiots who are running around calling themselves "Members of Parliament" but were yesterday the destroyers of Mogadishu.

Ahh...only in my dreams I suppose.

Al Shabaab doesn't even kill a captured warlord, focking idiots.
