My credit score is 745 and i have $100,000 in available credit though i don't use it at all, what i mean is that i don't owe any significant amount on any of my credit cards, my question is
if i close my unused credit cards, will it hurt my credit score , my second question is... will the unused credit cards lower my credit score? your help would be appreciated

if u don't use those credit cards why do u have them?? if i were u i would keep 1 for emergencies and use it rarely and pay it back right away. that way ur credit will stay up and u dont have to use it much. i'd say get rid of them, cuz that's less debt u have to worry about. oh and i dont think have more or less credit cards affects ur credit. as long as ur on top of ur debt u should b fine

but why does the amount of credit cards u have affect ur credit score?? i thought the credit score measures other factors such as ur ability to pay back

i think ur credit score will b fine regardless of how many credit cards u have. in fact i remember abdi sayin it's not good to have a lot of unused credit cards!!

It is the contrary!! Too many open accounts will against you.

To answer your question, yes, too many open, unused accounts count against your FICO score. Use your creditworthyness to invest in real estate. Both here and in Abu Dhabi, and other places if possible.
