Well said, Cawar thinks popular vote means something. For a Government to function and sustain itself in a long-term, it has to have three pillars: An OLigarchy, Democracy, and Monarchy. To protect citizens from the abuse of majority, there has to be Oligarchy like the JP Morgans and Rockefeller Families ensuring the mechanism of check and balance, and Monarchy which moderates the power of the Oligarchy. Today's current system or the three branches of Government might not demonstrate in this way, but this system is sure in place. Neither the Congress nor the Judiciary have the real power to make real changes in this country. Congress and Judiciary are part of the Democracy, which is one of the three elements of a strong and self-sustaining governemnt. Take a good example of the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
