What will hit will not miss and what should miss will not hit... That is everthing is indeed already written down for us in loow xun maxfood right our irsaaqa deena n stuff right & at the same time we choose to do and not to... I often think about this and still don't make any sense of it. I've learned just to accept things are they are. Thinking hurts my brain :|

Yeah, i get a little bit confused about that as well. I mean everything is written down, what we'll do, where we'll end up etc... then how can we have our own choices? It wouldn't be a "choice" if everything is already pre-determined right? :?

Allah (swt) does have Ultimate control. He knows the future, but this doesn't mean that we, as humans, don't have free will. We are able to make choices. Every day we're confronted with decisions that we have to make, and we always have alternatives. Allah (swt) may know the choice that we make, but it does not take away the fact it was our OWN choice.

For example, lets say I've got an assignment to hand in at a particular date. I also know what will happen if I don't hand it in. So I know the best thing for me to do is to finish it on time and hand it in, right? That's the right thing to do. So if I don't hand it in, I've got to face the consequences, and I can't blame Qadr/ destiny for my failure. As humans we know right from wrong. Allah (swt) judges us on the decisions we make from the choices that we've been given. We can't make the wrong choice, and blame it on Qadr.

Also, say if a person kicks a rock with their bare feet, they know it will hurt, right? They know the consequences of it, but did that stop them from doing it?

So basically, a person cannot use Qadr/destiny as an excuse for making the wrong choice, in the same way. that person who kicked the rock cannot use the laws of nature as an excuse for his actions.

Imagine you never lived this life and you found yourself burning in the hellfire. Wouldn't you feel a desperate need to interrogate Allah as to why He has subjected you to eternal punishment? So you may ask Allah:

"Why have you put me in the hellfire"

And He replies: "Because I am all knowing regarding the choices you would have made if you'd lived your life on earth, and your choices were to disbelieve in me."

So out of desperation, you cry: " That's not fair, because I believe I would have lived a righteous life and I would have believed in you."

My point is, this life is a proof of your choices, and on that great day, you'll have no argument against Allah. So the wisdom of living this life, is not so that Allah may see who deserves what, rather this world will either be a proof in your favour or in your damnation.
