Somalia: Ramadan month

Postby Somaliweyn » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:01 am

The blessed month of Ramadan is maybe tomorrow or thuesday insha allah. A month to ask forgiveness and pray many salat, preferably in the mosque. It is a month of fasting in which we should think about those people that live with scarc food. Like for example in Somalia, with around 2 million people without adequate food.

Also, besides eating, praying in the mosque seems obvious and simple for us, but there are large cities in Somalia in which people cannot go to the mosques. In Mogadishu, more then 30 mosques were closed down by the Ethiopians, in Beledweyne, most mosques are closed down.

Let us think about those people that live among such hardships in this month of Ramadan.

Blame the filthy terrorists that turned the houses of God into arms depots.
