If there's no such thing as depression then why did the Prophet (saw) use to recite the dua to protect him from anxiety and depression? It does exist, and depression is the leading cause of suicide. People need to face up to it, instead of brushing it under the carpet. If that guy had treatment for his state, and got support from his community, he probably wouldn't have committed suicide. Depression is a true reality, and it's about time people took it serious. You shouldn't laugh at how his life ended - whatever he did is between him and Allah (swt). It's your duty to respect the dead, and laughing at him shows you lack common decency.
