They should with all the money they are making. These guys are ranking in Millions of Dollars a Month it should be good for the Puntland economy.

Everyone who doesn't have a job should go ahead and join the Puntland Navy. Get rich or die trying. :mrgreen:

It's not easy being a Pirate...

Let's say a group of 6 Geeljire decide to become pirates, costs are:

6 AK-47's X 500$ = 3.000$
A speedboat = 5.000$
Gas for wondering around on sea looking for ships = At least a few hundreds $
Total = ~8.600$

I don't think all poor men in Puntland have that kind of money, it takes money first to become a Pirate in Somalia :lol:

Eventhough I disagree of what they are doing somtimes I get jeolous of the money and think about going there and joining
but to be honest this is bad and pirates are monesters and they have to be tackled before they take over the whole country it's already said because of their money they are so powerful and nobody can touch them and that is not good for the area imagine being run by mafia and the corruption that goes with it.

In all honesty, these pirates do more harm than good, I don't mind if they hijack illegal trawlers, and other ships, but not aid ships.

The other problem is also, they use the money they make to import and sell jaad. :down:
