That is the case for most people because there are many valid reasons why people gain weight in Ramadan:
1. Staying hungary all day actually contributes to the weigh gain
2. The heavy and sugar-loaded afur that people eat
3. Not excercising enough since we are fasting.
An average I gain about 15 to 20 lbs in Ramadan. But luckily two weeks after Ramadan, I get back to my normal weight. Just make sure you walk or excercise little bit after Afur.
