Somalis Most Vocal Muslims in America

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Sun Sep 21, 2008 12:29 pm

You don't hear a peep from any other Muslims in America regarding the workplace accommodation except the Somalis. No wonder the Isbonsor program has been halted.

Folks, if u take on a job, do it. There is very little love for minorities and Muslims especially nowdays.

On Monday, hundreds of Muslim employees walked off the job, saying they weren't being allowed to take a break to pray during Ramadan. Break times were then altered on the second shift so that Muslim employees could make their fourth of five daily prayers at sunset.

Then hundreds of non-Muslim workers walked off the job in counterprotests Wednesday and Thursday.
War its not even the employer but the xaasid colleagues, they are putting the employer in a tough position.

What bastard colleagues, xaasidiin waaye wallahi

Shirib,

The problem with accommodation is that it creates an perception of unfairness thus forcing the workers to fight each other.
If u are involved in manufacturing any delay or stop for a significant number of workers that results in the line stopping makes it hard for those who don't participate.

Horrible for the Somalis and for the NonMuslims too.

Somalis are funny creatures. they are the only people that will pull over and help out a stranded person on the side of the road that appears to be a Somali, or give money, food, or housing for a night all in the name of Somali but at the same time, they hate each other in the name of something much smaller, something second to being a Somali. Qabiil.

It sounds funny, but my managers does remind me too sometimes. Even though we are only 3 Muslims at my work place (me and 2 Jordanian women) we still got a pray room allocated to us. Thats why I always go the extra mile for my manager, he does really well to make everybody comfortable in the work environment.
