Have You Paid Your Zakatul-Fitr?

Postby Kolombo » Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:19 am

6 more days before Eid. Make sure you make arrangements to pay your Zakatul-fitr before Salatul-Eid. Anything after Salatu-Eid is charity and won't count towards your obligation to pay Zakatul-fitr.

What are the rules of Zakatul-Fitr?

Is it when you have wealth stored for a whole year? and was the percentage 2% or 0.02% of your wealth?

Are you allowed to give it to distant family members?

My family always collects money together as Zakatul-Fitr for a relative in need in Somalia.
