Young kid, the Old Maverick schooled Obama.

Obama was more like a grandson talking to his Grandpa

maybe we were listening to the wrong debate cus being aggressive or loudest in the room does not make u a winner Mc Cain held his ground but overall Obama came out the winner.

I agree old man McCain was short and sharp in his calculated attacks. Obama just went on and on without any substance and bunch in his rebattles. This was McCain night.

here is what i think, obama was focused, cool as usual, not losing his temper, defending his policies and stands, professor obama was also correcting Mcains misstatements, on the other hand, mcain was angry, frustrated and he was talking all the time about his military services and that crap . over all , their manner of speaking ,i thought Obama looked more presidential , but neither of them made a grave gaffe

i was overall over all disappointed with Obama tonight he should have ko'ed McCain.

"There has never been a country on earth who saw its economy decline but retained its military superiority" a memorial highlights from obama.

Obama only attacked on areas he was clearly superior ie Iraq and the economy. It would be suicidal to attack on areas you are not strong. Going negative is not his forte, that's what he has Joe Biden for. This debate was Mcain's chance to take back the momentum and he squandered it. A tie does not help Mcain.

U are right AW, even though McCain didn't win on any of the points the two disagreed on, it's about how the audience perceive the two men, and in this McCain is the slight winner. Of course when we look at the content of the debate, Obama crushed McCain, but again it's about the American audience, who are known to be irrational and dumb and look at things differently, no offense.

1- McCain mentioned numerous times that Obama just doesn't understand and brushed him off as inexperienced and naive, while Obama said he absolutely agreed with McCain. Like it or not, Obama made a big mistake in this one. "He just doesn't seem to understand' and repeated like 10 times will eventually stick!

2- Obama had a hard time making his point within a short time in a simple way, while McCain was scoring points with oneliners. It made McCain look like he was more confident.

3- McCain was cool, collected and fonzie, than again Obama looked into the camera, McCain did not. On the other hand, McCain smiled a lot more than Obama, who looked too serious.

4- Obama was on the defensive for the largest part of the debate, that's never good.

Slight victory for McCain overall. Good closing remark by Obama.

You are wrong.

Less was expected of McCain, all he had to do was survive this debate. A tie would make him a winner. This was Obama's chance to put the old man to bed.

i was lil disappointed with Obama he didn't jump on Mcain, he should have been lil more assertive , i mean, with current problem at wall street obama could have pointed out that it was senator McCain who supported the deregulation and it was Mcain who voted 90 with bush. I don't know why Obama is not attacking Mcain

Obama is so classy......... 8)

Wallahi that smirk on his face whenever McBush rattled on nonsense after nonsense and getting testy was priceless. He won this single handedly.

Ps..Obama corrected McCain more than once and the fact the he acknowledged and agree with McCain on some points was a smart political move. It only shows that he is not arrogant and stubborn and is willing to cross party lines. I dont see anything wrong with that. That "You dont understand" phrase he kept using sounded like a broken record as he didnt explain anything beyond it but a frustrated old man.

McCain...You dont UNDERSTAND. :|
