Somali Women and Revert Marriage Phenomenon

Lately there has been a tendency for Somali women to marry Muslim reverts. Although as a practicing man, I have nothing but love and respect for the marriage of Muslim sisters to Muslim brothers. I am concerned by the extent to which Somali women throw themselves towards any new revert to Islam in the hope of a marriage made in heaven. This is a worrying phenomenon and I think its very important we safe-guard the marriage of Somali women to Somali men.

Seriously, this is a 'grass is greener' phenomenon. As long as they are getting married to a decent Muslim man, I couldn't care less, Somalis will not remain a homogenous people and people just want to settle down, have safety, children and a future.

actually, it has to do with that a lot of these girls fooled around when they were younger and they know a farah wont marry them so they marry the first thing that comes their way

Me too as long as they are decent muslims , I cannot oppose it , as matter of fact many many somali men have left their islamic roots nowadays , so i say good on you ladies !

how come asians and arabs dont marry outside their own! why are somalis intent on marrying non somalis?

I think its largely due to the fact that there is a lot of self-hating somali people out there!

i do have a problem!

i am a patriot and dont want my homogenous nation to be extinction in about 100 years which is how long i have estimated before somalis become extinct species.

Jokes aside, this is a truely worrying issue. I am interested to know what makes a somali woman marry a non somali? when there are plenty of good somali men out there.

If you are a minority it's only natural that the majority will eventually consume you. Somalis living in somalia will marry other somalis, however somalis as a minority living in the Diasphora will get competition with people of other races, hennce the chances are much higher for a somali women to marry an outsider of course if it is halal why not. Also it's called INTEGRATION, we are not in SOmalia anymore, live your own life and don't worry about what othets do.

Don't worry about that hun, the work is being done by those back home, have you not seen the stats on Somali births, looooooool. Somalis are the biggest group in Africa currently that is growing in a very high rate, even with the war and hunger.

Btw, look beyond your neighborhood/town...this problems only affected those that live in Europe/maybe North America.
