Anyone else on that same boat?

I'm personally reviled by the idea of marrying niggers and Somalis fall too close to that definition for my comfort.

Ewwww.
No, I'm not on that same boat. I have no preference. The only qualities I seek:

a. That she's a practicing Muslima (i.e. hijab a must, knowledgeable of Islamic teachings & history, etc).

b. That she's modest and realistic of what to expect from a marriage.

Exactly! waxa adiga iyo ilaahy ka dhexeeya inaad dad o sheeg sheegtid mahaa..

The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihe wa-sallam) said: "My entire nation is safe, except al-Mujahirin (those who boast of their sins). Among the Mujaharah is that a man commits an (evil) act, and wakes up in the morning while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret, he says: "O Fulan! Last night I did this and that." He goes to sleep while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret but he wakes up in the morning and uncovers what Allah has kept a secret!" [Saheeh al-Bukharee]

You have just addmited in this thread that you havent fasted in almost 7yrs...a few months ago wa tii aad qiratay inaad isbiirtoole ahaan jirtay...huuno i'm not judging you..nobody is perfect. But whatever you have done or will do in the future should stay with you.Qabriga sirtaada oo qaado and REPENT.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS...IT'S NEVER TO LATE..

On the authority of Anas (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam) say:

"Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it."

What is to be there to be offended? I am refered to as "white" all the time. It is not meant as an insult.

I can't believe you're endorsing the un-Islamic old shukaansi practice.

what is wrong with it?

Somali Shukaansi gets the thumb up  ..its precisely because of attitudes like yours..that we have this ''phenomenon'' where somali boys and girls do not know how to relate to each other or even form simple friendly conversations since its obviously somehow ''haraamun haraam!''..thus both parties flock to people from other ethnicities

Amina, don't be offended of Alluring. Her preferred line of attack (which she has employed countless times against many female members of this forum) is to call someone fat or obese. She doesn't like black people as she doesn't consider to be one and feels superior to them. Personal attacks/insults is quite normal (although it has improved since the formation of moderators) in this forum, so don't take it personal.
