Its designed that way to take the focus away from the real issues e.g. social inequality, corrupt governments, hogging of oil revenues by a few individuals, widespread poverty & social injustice in the Muslim world, etc.

first of all the religion of islam does not prevent flirting as long as it is in a public place.

the saudis have banned women from driving a car but yet allowed thm to have a male chauffeur to drive them wherever the want to go? which is more dangerous a women driving a car alone? or a women being driven around by a male chauffeur?

it is also known in the hadiths that female companions of the prophet muhammed s.a.w use to ride on camels. which one is more revealing a camel or a car?

Sorry, I can't ridicule Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan, as some of you (including those who have been brainwashed by the corrupt Western culture) are enjoying ridiculing him. Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan made a suggestion, with the best intentions (as Madd_Scientist_ correctly pointed out). If you read the article, it states the Sheikh has many supporters/followers and niqab is popular in that part of the world. Now, it's something to disagree with the suggestion of a Sheikh, but ridiculing him comes off as if you're arrogant and vindictive towards a fellow Muslim.
