It seems that it is not unusual that in the cases of where a Saudi and non-muslim foreigner have become friends, some Saudis in turn have invited their friend to come with them to Makkah in order to better understand the rites of Islam and see the Grand Mosque (Haram). Yes, these Saudis are aware that what they have done is prohibited and could have serious repercussions.

Neither of these individuals converted to Islam after their experience. Although both felt they had an even greater appreciation for Islam and the dedication of muslims to their faith.

So, even after violating the sanctity of Makkah by allowing Kuffaar to enter it with the hope of them "learning" about Islam, these individuals never converted? Intersting.

BTW I don't think its that bad 4 Muslims to see and learn about Islamic culture and rituals + am sure it said their were boundaries in which they were prohibited

however, when osama's spiritual leader Juhaiman ibn Muhammad ibn Saif al Utaibi and his 500 militias captured the Grand Mosque of Mecca in 1979 they were flushed out with the help of french paramilitary. Pakistani and French security forces retook the shrine in a battle which left approximately 250 dead, and 600 wounded. Pakistani and French troops reportedly entered the Grand Mosque and flooded it with water, applied electricity to it and electrocuted most of the rebels.

Bloodshed is strictly prohibited in Mecca.

Man I know of this blog...

Firstly, I'm assuming that the Saudis who invite their friends to Makkah must have connections, and are aware that they will get away with it.

Secondly, non-muslims have perviously went to Makkah undercover, they would learn the ways of muslims to begin with, and then go there. These people are too curious, and aren't going to convert just because they went there, they live their lives by adventures.
