circulating wedding videos

who do somalis circulate wedding videos..sometimes they have absolutely no relationship with the bride or groom or none of their families but they still watch them and keep them in their house..WHY?? its not a friggin' blockbuster movie with no late fee... :twisted:

one time i was in MN and i was buying some somali music from this dude who also duplicates wedding videos, the mothafocker was making a private collection and reselling them to other twisted somalis who somehow find it fascinating watching other people's wedding videos...inaalilaah.

My cousin in Xamar told me about this guy who was invited to chew khat with some other men. These guys would sit back and watch these wedding tapes especially the nikko part.

The guy who was invited had gotten married a few months ago and found that his wedding tape was in the collection :lol:

I was a malxiis in one wedding and i am yet to see that videotape

yeah, i hear in xamar, they treat them like movies...new release viewings every Friday.

My sister got marreid two weeks ago.....ooh boy already people are asking me the wedding videos......most importantly... it was mixed race wedding and somalis who didn't came to the wedding are so Curious to see what the groom looks like......

Walaahi I've never asked wedding vidoes ( even if i was in the wedding)....is not my wedding..... why do u want to watch.........u've already been there what is the point :roll:

Okay, I always knew somali ppl loved weddings and stuff...but i NEVER thaught that people circulate wedding videos....Im totally shocked here.

Yep, for $10,000 I can have a splendid wedding in Africa with all the toppings. I have few fam or kin here so it makes no sense to blow money on strangers.

if you knew her that long, u should be able to come up with a better idea than i....its her wedding so the gift should be something sentimental to her..and of your friendship.

when I first came to seattle, guys were exchanging wedding tapes in high school, alla maxaan yaabey lol and also my abti beat up a bitter camara man, who was playing the wedding tape inside a busy mukhaayet, he walked in and seen all these guys huddling around and viewing his nieces wedding tape like one week after, lol
