I don't know what you're talking about, but you've mentioned it twice about the mujahideen and taliban and fighting. The book and from what i've heard the movie do not address it. The book is about an Afghan Pashtoon who rapes a Hazara boy an ethnic minority in Afghanistan who are as indecated in the book, oppressed.

Ohh this stupid book, had the misfortune in havin to study it for school


But personally i thought The Kite Runner was clearly about the political upheavals in Afghanistan as much as it adressed the social inequity of the Hazaras. I think thats why it has so much western readers interested & the whole redemption process Amir's goes through that sentimental crap cadaan people fall for....
But yeah structure, juxtaposition & imagery that khaled hosseini uses is pretty impressive..hard to believe its his first book but I disliked how he demonized the Taliban and I think he's a closet fag

All in all, wouldn't reccommend it to a muslim... that rape scene is just mentally disturbing

I didn't see the Movie.
