Kenyan soldiers have attacked the IKCC hotel in Nairobi, extricating all 200 Somali parliament members.
Kenyan police have attacked 200 Somali parliament members staying at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, report says.

More than 300 Kenyan Police officers stormed the KICC hotel, knocking in doors, looting rooms and using force to extricate all the

Somali law makers from the building, stripped of all their personal possessions and clothing a PressTV correspondent reports.

The reason for the assault on the Somali representatives by Kenyan soldiers has not yet been reported.

The Somali parliament members were staying at the hotel after attending a meeting of the leaders of the Inter- Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD). On October 29 participants held closed talks concerning the fragile state of Somalia and its interim government.

The result was a five-point peace plan to be implemented by Somali leaders in order to restore normalcy to the Horn of Africa nation.

Somalia's transitional federal government (TFG) has so far failed to achieve many key goals, such as writing a new constitution and drawing internal boundaries, even though its mandate technically expires next year.

The summit concluded Wednesday afternoon with a final statement in support of the Djibouti agreement signed Sunday between the Somali transitional federal government (TFG) and moderate elements of the opposition Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia.

The Inter-Governmental Authority on Development is a seven-country regional development organization in East Africa. Members are Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Sudan.
