Ethiopians DID NOT LEAVE!

Postby Somaliweyn » Tue Jan 13, 2009 3:41 pm

Ethiopians have not left people.

Remember 2007?

When they also said we were leaving and shown the world pictures of them leaving and bagging in Ural trucks?

Now, this show is again the same. They can vacate some bases, but they can change uniforms and act like been part of ''AU'' force...

We'll see the coming days if AMISON gets stronger or stays the same. If it gets stronger or holds against the resistance fighters, then certainly ethiopians are gfighting with them, which means they didnt leave.

Always be suspicious of Ethiopian intentions. Never trust the obvious, but always search for their hidden intentions.

Check those pictures, and can you pinpoint what soldiers are AMISON and what soldiers are Ethiopian?

I can't.

Ethiopian troops begin withdrawing from Somalia
POSTED: 9:21 a.m. EST, January 23, 2007

MOGADISHU, Somalia (CNN) -- Ethiopian troops began to withdraw from Mogadishu Tuesday as part of a troop rotation with fresh troops entering the country from Ethopia.

Ethiopian General Suem Hagoss announced Tuesday that "starting today, we will withdraw our forces from Mogadishu" at a Somalian government ceremony at the site where Somali warlords have been handing over their weapons to the Transitional Federal Government (TFG), according to journalist Mohamed Amiin who attended the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a convoy of approximately 30 military trucks loaded with Ethiopian troops and military equipment departed from Mogadishu on the International Airport Road.

Meanwhile, witness accounts from the area of Hiiran say that about 1,500 fresh Ethiopian troops were making their way across the border from Ethiopia into Somalia.

In Addis Ababa, Somali Ambassador to Ethiopia and to the African Union (AU) Mohamed Farah, tells CNN that it is premature to say Ethiopian troops are withdrawing, since their mission has not ended. He said these troops are being rotated and that the Ethopian and Somali governments have not yet named a date for Ethiopian troop withdrawal.

Farah added that the AU did vote on Friday to send nine battalions of peacekeeping troops to Somalia for a 6-month mandate. Each battalion will include approximately 900 soldiers, and the first three of the nine battalions has orders for immediate deployment to Somalia.

At the end of the mandate, UN peacekeeping troops are expected to replace AU troops.

Also on Tuesday, Yemen officially reopened its embassy in Mogadishu, which has been closed since the start of the Somali civil war in 1991. This is the first official diplomatic mission to return to the country since the civil war ended and the installation of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia.

Exactly 2 years ago, they reported they were withdrawing and held propaganda festivals in Villa Somalia.

So always be vigilant, never trust the Ethiopian intentions, because we all know they have hostile intentions towards a free Somalia.

Always be Critical!

Ethiopia to withdraw third of Somalia troops
Posted Sun Jan 28, 2007 6:02am AEDT

A third of Ethiopia's troops in Somalia are expected to have withdrawn by Sunday, Prime Minister Meles Zenawi says.

"We are reducing troop numbers by about a third ... that process should be completed today or tomorrow," Mr Meles told Reuters.

He refused to say how many troops had been in the country during a war to oust Islamists who ruled southern Somalia for six months.

Security experts estimated before the lightning two-week Christmas war that Ethiopia had sent between 5,000 and 10,000 troops into Somalia to back forces of the weak transitional government.

Mr Meles says he hopes to withdraw the rest of Ethiopia's troops "within weeks".

Asked if he was confident that could be done, Mr Meles said "Yes, because ... as far as our own mission is concerned it has been completed as far as supporting the transitional government".

He says Ethiopian troops will continue backing the Government "as long as we can sustain it but we cannot sustain it indefinitely, obviously, and therefore we can only assist to the extent of our capabilities".

Mr Meles spoke before an African Union (AU) summit on Monday and Tuesday which is expected to discuss the deployment of almost 8,000 African peacekeeping troops in Somalia to avoid a vacuum after Ethiopia withdraws.

Without a strong military force, many residents and analysts fear the Horn of Africa country will slide back into the anarchy it suffered for nearly 16 years.

Mr Meles says the AU was suggesting deploying its troops by early March, but added: "We see no reason why the first African Union troops could not be deployed significantly earlier, let's say by mid-February".

Uganda, Nigeria and Malawi have so far promised soldiers for Somalia and others are mulling, though Rwanda and South Africa have ruled it out.

Somalis are facing a formidable enemy that loves to play games.

So always be critical, always be vigilant, because nothing is what it appears like.

Actually You could be dead on. I heard from inside sources, Ethiopia is telling Nuur Cadde, Nuur Madoobe to go to Baydhabo and elect a President without the Djbouti group, and Aden Madoobe is calling for that. If they do without the Djbouti group, and the Djbouti group walks out as they they threatened, then theres no Djoubti deal, and Ethiopia stays!

The ethiopians have no real reason to stay, their job is done, they've divided the somali's and now the TFG government is in shambles. Even, the so called unity government the ARS and TFG have been trying to implement is not going anywhere. Somali situation only seems to get worse with the departure of each previous president.

Southern somali's should be exempt from politics wallahi, they can't get anything done. Look at puntland, successful transition of power. Even somaliland.

But I do hope, something comes out of this bloated 500 member so called unity government and the djbouti agreement. Though history would suggest otherwise.

They didn't say they were leaving, they said they were, and I quote, "Withdrawing combat troops from Somalia".

What that means is that of the forces that had invaded, they decided how many troops they thought they needed to occupy the country, and reassigned those troops to be a "Stabilizing Force" to "Help the Somalian Government establish their authority". The troops that were left over were therefore all the "Combat Troops", roughly half the invasion force, was pulled out of Somalia.

Ethiopia sent a significant portion of their army into Somalia, and they can't afford to do that either financially or militarily considering the Sudanese and Eritrean border situation.

Always read the fine print.

What a defeatist attidute you have!

We need to bring you back to Mogadishu for dhaqan celis.

You will return as a fierce war veteran at the age of 25. Lets see if you then utter defeatist words.
