Baidoba etc should be Liberated!

Postby Somaliweyn » Fri Jan 16, 2009 2:23 pm

Ethiopians may have left Mogadishu and its direct cities after heroic struggle against them, but they are still in Baidoba (the seat of the puppet institution), in Baardheere, Kalabeyr-Jawiil (Hiiraan), Balanbale etc.

Lets continue the war and kick all Ethiopians out of Somalia.

First Target: Baidoba!

Sorry to burst Your bubble My Friend but Ethiopia did not leave Somalia by the Gun, but left due to Allah swt first, and deft political savvy by Nuur Cadde, Sh Shareef etc. Djoubti Peace Accord which was supported by the whole International Community, and in particular the US stipulated Ethiopians leave in 120 days. A memo was sent from Washington to Addis Ababa telling them to get their soldiers out of Xamar ASAP.

Washington demanded that AY be thrown out the window, Nuur Cadde be supported, and the Djoubti wing + ICU make a unity Gov. If Ethiopia was really worn out in Somalia they wouldn't have delayed their departure past 120 days, and they wouldn't be in Ahmed Madoobe's ear telling Him to abandon the Djoubti agreement so they could stay in Ethiopia longer.

Saaxib, think logically not idealistically.

Murax,

You are right in one thing:

It was Allah's blessing for the ethiopian occupation to be defeated. Second it was the GUN, and third it was the PEN which gave them a face-saving withrawal like the US defeat in Vietnam, in which they also ''signed'' peace agreement, and the moment they left the North took over the whole of Vietnam.

Have u become a pacifist?

Other regions need to be liberated too, before the Ethiopians occupy the Capital again!

My apolgies,

I misunderstood you.

You are right, places were Ethiopians have no presence should be left alone.

Places where there are ethiopian troops need to be turned into heavy battlefields, we should start killing more of them since we would be more united from our HQ in Mogadishu with more money and weapons/men to send to the front lines in Gedo and Baidio.

Somaliweyn,

The arguement that you make saying cities that no longer have Ethiopian presence should be left alone, can be used by tribalists to justify Alshabaab "wrongly" taking over Kismayo by force despite there being no ethiopian presence in those regions. dont think im questioning your ideas, i just think there shouldnt be double standards.

At this point I'm tempted to say let the peace deal work, and no more fighting. The IDPs need to be resettled, the UIC needs to work on it's international image, and the next government has to be worked out.
The war has been won, winning the peace is the hard part to come.
