I've only been back once but the one time I was there I went to Hargeisa and all them niggas were pitch black. I thought I was in the minority as one of the few light skin niggas in Somalia?

Cool pictures. I like the fros too. Usually when you look at pictures of people from the past they look smaller, paler, and unhealthier as compared to their modern day decedants. These pictures are the exact opposite. All of those people, especially the men, looked bigger with a glow of good natural health.

Southern Somalia has the most diversity anywhere in Somalia. Its settled by Somalis of vast clans, traditions and skin-tones. Some of these clans happen to be Gandershe (Sheikhaal), Baadicade, Gaaljecel, Shaanshi, Barawaani, Biyamaal, Jiido, Raxanweyn, Gabare, etc who are commonly known for having "fair" skin compared to everyone else. Compare this diversity to the two groups who settle in the North i.e. Harti & Isaaq. Furthermore, climates in the South, spcecially in Jubba is a cooler climate compared to Bari & Mudug. Exposure to sun-light in this region is less than that endured by the fishers of Bari and the dessert dwellers in Mudug.

I resent this part! we are not dessert dwellers.

Yes, they are Somalis. But some of them are Jareer and Bantus. The rest as far as I can tell are Biyomal, Matan Abdulle and other Southern Clans
