Sh!t happens girl. Do not get all gloomy and bent out of shape over elderly folks losing their job. Hopefully a more competent person will take their place.

Ismahan and Cawar isn´t there a famous Somali sayins; I´d rather be xasid xasid dhalay instead of dabal dabal dhalay. Its simple, the weak must and will be eliminated.

What does empathy has to do with being weak? You should sympathize for these people who have lost their jobs and most have kids to take care of. War waxani wa aduuniyo, you can very well lose everything tomorrow.

No offence but spympathizing for others on its own is a sign of weakness and will inevitably mean you expect others to empathize for you vice versa. Why cant you be indifferent and block all your emotions. Why show strangers your emotions and let them see through you.

I once worked with this Indian dude whose dad passed away on the night before a very important meeting. This dude did not miss the meeting and showed up with his head high and even had a smirk on his face to piss off competition. RESPECT

Mideeda kale losing wax walbo should be the motivator and catalyst you need. Its all about staring at the eye of the tiger.
