Patriot,

There's always more to anything than what you read, don't be so harsh on him.

Re-cap:

-Right after returning from Hajj, he lands in the middle of the war, Maxaakiimta re-grouping from all fronts & is forced in to the wilderness of Ras Kamboni. For months, he witnesses the bombings of his fellows and the deaths of his friends. He sees that they face extinction and maybe even worse. He did what he thought was the right thing and chose to negotiate with the Americans.

You should read his article about the decisions he made & their reasons. Even in Islam, leaders were forced to negotiate and regroup, its not flip-flopping and not giving-up. Because of his decision to speak to the U.S. it enabled the bombings to stop, the chance for Sh. Daahir Aweys & others to go to Asmara, etc. Its called buying yourself time and that's what he's doing.

I support anyone fighting the Ethiopians & the Mbagathi warlords and that includes Sh. Shariif.

Its funny how some people think Indha Cade is fighting for the DIIN and Sheik Sharif is following the gaalo. Wallahi I believe at the moment Sheik Sharif is the real deal and the rest should be liquidated.

Awoowe come on all of us knew what would happen.
But why would a responsible person just fly to Xajj?
Still not convinced. Sharif had better things to do the least was to resign honorably.

Patriot,

He made his Hajj plans long before the war, you're reading too much in to things. Now is not the time to start pointing fingers, no one is perfect, the goal is the liberation of the capital and the establishment of a Shari'ah government. I welcome all means to achieve this goal, even if it means sitting down with Jendaya Frazier and her puppets.

Kolombo inaadeer,
We well know Xabashi.Their main reason comming to Somalia.
Thats why our grandparents coined the word Xabashi caqli magasho ee xabadh baa maskaxdooda gasho.

Nin Ogaden baadh tahay and we know what Xabashi is.
You either become dabadilif or you resist.
So plz TFG is TFG.
So folks are either fighting it or forming alliance with it.

For me I would either have choosen to side with the TFG in 2006 to reduce the burden or took my ground & fought the TFG.

Patriot,

 This warrior mentality is admirable, but it doesn't always work. Look at the Taliban in Afghanistan, they're negotiating with the U.S. What does that tell you? Time to re-strategize and develop new game plans.

Adaptation does not mean one is becoming dabadhilif. It just means he's trying a new angle which might actually work. Give him the benefit of doubt and see what he does, before you condemn him, insha Allah.

Walalo the Taliban are not negotiating its the US that wants to negotiate with them.

The only people who have ever successfuly given up to Xabashi occupation are the Gurage community.

But i doubt Somalis who give in will be given immunity , Ethiopians never forgot Axmed Gurey.

Koronto,

Sheikh Sharif is a pragmatist. He knows you can achieve just as much using negotiations as you can achieve through war.

He also had advocated reaching an agreement with the Sacad in July 2006 instead of attacking them which was something INdocaade was gung ho about doing. He knew that the UIC had the upper hand and time was on their side therefore negotiations would be favorable for them.

If Sheikh Sharif had been listened to, AbdiQeybdiid wouldn't have been made into a hero nor Sacad would have not opposed the UIC.

Patriot,

The Israelis believe in a smart strategy:

Negotiate when you have the upper hand because you will gain a deal that favors you.

Since when did Somalis become an upperhand?
Its only Allah who is in the upperhand.
A/W we are crtically looking at the behaviour of the sharif Vis a vis The somali crisis.
