A Lifetime Membership on Somalinet

Postby Shilka Jr. » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:52 pm

I'm hearing too much "this is may last post" topics. People act like Somalinet is a negative force of some kind. Sure, there are people who make this place a genetic wasteland, people who share no valuable information nor learn anything valuable.

I, from this day on, vow permanent lifetime membership to Somalinet.

For those who believe that leaving is the "right thing" to do after "time is served" are foolish. Can you think of the number of lives changed in this place. Can you think of the number of people who have picked up pages of historic knowledge on this forum, can you think of the people who witness the amount of pride (however misplaced it may be) exuded by those here.

All (ok I lied, some) of you are doing a great service on this forum. Keep it up and don't dare think about getting a "life" - this is your home, your family, and your one-stop mega-blog.

Screw,

This topic doesn't address you, this has been your home for 14 years, I'm addressing the post-2003 crowd.

And if you look in the Clan Politics, Mudug, and Ogadenia sections, good-bye topics are rife.

Screw, I didn't say you couldn't part-take in debate, but the topic is addressing a different crowd - like Sadeboi & Co.

Its like if someone made a topic about Somaliland, I wouldn't touch that topic with a stripper pole.

But in all honesty, I did learn a great deal about Somalis, our language, culture, politics, clans on these boards. I am grateful for all the knowledge I have gained on this forum. If I hadn't argued with Somaliweyn, I would not have read that book, nor would I have seen these documents if Warsame didn't start posting them and so on.
