Political Miscalcualtion

Postby guhad122 » Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:39 pm

While I don't support any specific clan for the prime minister position, but I believe the Sharif shouldn't appoint someone from either Majeerteen or Mareexaan. The reasons are many:
The MJ are irrelevant in the current Somali political scene as they have their own administration and peaceful regions. In selecting a premier, you need someone that can help stabilize the South; and just for being Majeerteen is a curse in the South. They have no power, relevance, and association in the South. Right now we don't need Puntland or Somaliland to have a strong Southern Somalia.

The MRs would have made sense back in the Barre administration in Kismaayo but they are weak now and have no relevance in Jubaland. Plus, they ruled Somalia over twenty years and stole so much. A family friend once told us that all the younger MR girls in their teens are cute because back in the 1980s, the MR stole all the money of the nation and were only marrying the most beautiful women in Somalia. In speaking of Maslax, wasn't the guy one of the biggest alchoholics in Somalia.

The only clan that can help the Shariif in stabilizing the South is the Absame. Other than Alshabaab, the most powerful group in the South are the Kaanbooniyiin and in naming someone closer to the Kaanbooniyiin, he would have a good chance of establishing real administration. Even though it would be hard to please the fanatics like Turki, but having someone like Gaandhi and Axmed-Madoobe would help in talking with Turki.

Good case for your peoples, I'm sure others feel their case is as strong.
Plus having an OG at such a high position wouldn't go down well in Addis, they only position they like OG's to be in is hanging from a meat hook.

Lool, Nothing of what u stated above, adds up darling.

U got to elect someone who’s willing or capable of establishing a serene Somali State and no.1 apart from the ppl who actually managed 2 do so hitherto, can attain such an objective (Puntlanders scored it already). Beside, the political relevance and hegemony plays vital roles, in such scenarios. Absames can not be weighted up against the 2 sub-clans u cited above in any of these conditions.

Loool@A family friend once told us that all the younger MR girls in their teens are cute.

What kind of validation or reasoning such a pathetic hearsay has 2 what u wrote above?. Clumsy me, who expected a lot from a scatterbrained Cagdheer!!!. Beside, Ogs are easy 2 deceive and political feeble at this instant (I question whether they had any relevancy 2 begin with). Assigning one of them would merely be a big slip-up on Shariif’s behalf.....

Voltage,
Why is it that older Mareexaans look just typical Reer Gadood and Reer Mudug while the younger teens who were born from the 1980s to early 1990s look more like Cagdheer. Mostly tall and light-skinned. Can you explain that? See how the Green can change the looks of an entire clan
Being a tall and light-skinned MR can get you in trouble because you can be sued for being the product of stolen properties

Ismahan,
My greatgrand mother who had plenty of connections to Mudug used to say that:
"Ninka naag reeg Mudug ah guursada ninbuu guursaday" meaning that they are very strong in raising their families.
Respect to that!

I can imagine this absentminded moron (Guhad) responding 2 Ismahan with:

I personally think Reer Mudug were light-skinned till the surrounding weather and rough atmosphere changed their features slightly, or perhaps, they looted houses/properties and greatly influenced Somalia’s politics (positively or negatively) but Reer Mudug men almost forgot 2 tie the knot 2 the beloved light-skinned and blessed Ogs, Lol. They can't be contrasted with MRs younger teens -- they are the product of rich MR dude and an eye-candy (mainly Og or Baraawini)....
