You ever heard the story of Dhuuboow?? Dhuuboow, being a typical reer Waamo, heard that everybody is collecting Social Security Checks...He then decided to take his four-year old son to the SS Office to tell them that his is deaf and needed SS money. Well, they said he forgot to negotiate with the kid for Nac-nac or something. When he got to the office, the SS office employees asked him what is wrong with the baby:
Dhuuboow: He is deaf and needs to get some money
SS Empoyee talking to the kid: You like candy?
Kid: Yeah I like candy
Dhuuboow: war ilmahan habaar buu qabaa, muxuu aniga nac-naca ii weydiin waayay???

Walaahay when you see some elders talk about this, it sound hillarious!!!!

One thing I liked about Dhuuboow was that he never gave fock what others say!!! He was proud of who he is and his culture. First person in San Diego to wear Macawiis to his children's graduation ceremonies...Waa rageedii Dhuuboow....
