Israeli Election Tomorrow

Postby Aerosmith » Mon Feb 09, 2009 6:55 pm

I hope Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu pulls through this one and beats the Russian MILF Tzipi Livni. He is the man for the job. The one who hopefully will the do the walk and not just the talk. Assuming he wins and becomes Israel's next premier, how long before he either strikes Syria or Iran? Your take on this.

Netanyahu is a militant, who wants to continue and expand the settlments on Palestinian lands, he also does not support a Palestinian state.

I do hope he wins, so that Isreal is further exposed to what it really is, a terrorist state! I do hope sooner rather than later, the rest of the World shuns Isreal.

Israel maybe a terrorist state but the likelihood of it being classified as one is way too far. Even if Netanyahu were to attack Iran and Syria, it will still remain a democracy. Insha Allah that shall happen with minimal casualties. Oil must bounce back.

True. As long as the pro Isreal lobby groups and think tanks (particularly those in the US) are so deeply engrossed in influencing Western foreign policies in the Middle East, no one will ever classify Isreal as the terrorists they are. But I'm hopeful, after the recent Gaza bombing, more ppl are aware of Isreali terrorism.

If evil was measured on looks instead of the actual committing of evil; Netanyahu would win hands down. And if this man is elected, forget about a Palestinian state, forget about their rights, forget they even exist. Thats Netanyahu for you. :x

Israel striking Syria or Iran depends on America. Syria is weak, so no point there.

Now Iran is a different story entirely, even if they are militray inferior to Israel now, that won't always be the case. BTW Israel will never go in Iran    That is a war they will lose. If they do attack Iran, they'll only bomb key 'Nuclear sites' and what ever military they have. However, the Iranian state has said they have the man-power to do some damage to Israel. Either way, it is a no-win-situation for Israel, either they'll get bogged down now, or fear a Nuclear Iran. Alternatively Mr America can do the dirty job for them, but their already having difficulty in Iraq and Afgahnistan. Also, this move will further destablise the Middle-east and increase the Anti-American sentiment already present there. I don't know what all the fuss is about, Iran will not indiscriminately Nuke Israel!

My take is that they might not do it, so that only leaves America, which is very unlikely to do it. So, that means they'll do it. As for when he'll do it, I hope right after he chokes to death.

I'm wandering what the South Lebanon aka Hezbollah will do if Israel attacks Iran.

Salaam

Blaming the lobbyist is only one side demure. The Arabs have a big role in this mess. I'd even go further and say they have the bigger role in letting their Palestinian 'brothers' down. We shall if and when these spineless folks learn.

lol@Warsan Ahmedinajad himself could be salivating over this issue. What better way to win elections and a hike in crude oil, the biggest exporter of Iran than a little skirmish with Israel direct or using Syria pawn. I Hope Netanyahu man's up and at least triggers the diplomatic row. Insha Allah it will happen.
