Similarity VERSUS Complementarity, take ur pick

Postby LaQaNyO » Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:25 pm

Do birds of a feather flock together or do opposite attract?

When using common sense chances are you're more likely to pair with someone whom you share common attitudes, beliefs and values with because, the greater the similarity the safer you stand. "Smart birds flock together, so do rich birds, pretty birds etc" ..... But if you think about it does similarity lead to liking the individual or liking the individual lead to similarity?
Oposite attract with great power jst like magnets and it has an adrenaline to it because, of the risks/challenges involved for i.e. in a typical scenario the good girl with the bad guy or somali scenario opposite qabils..

Ps; Im not talking about interacial stuff so

My question 2 you; similarity or complementarity and your reasons?

i don't believe in the whole opposites attract thing.....the only thing that's positive about this notion is attracting the opposite sex.

opposites attract is bs. i can't handle someone with a differing opinion than mine. it is a lot like that other bs somali saying, "been ku xaree, run ku dhaqan". qofkaad been ku xarayso been baan ku dhaqi. similarly, qof opposite-kaada ah will guarantee an unstable relationship.

Qansa "been ba lagu xareeya, run na wa lagu dhaqa" is used in one direction, i thought anyway.... niinka wax xareeya aka he is the beenawaas

The whole point of opposite attract, is that your attracted to all the things you shouldnt be attracted to... i guess liking the idea of what you shouldnt like makes it more likeable :| lord help us.

Ive always been attracted to people who are completely different than me. Wheather it be in romantic or friendship.
So opposites attract in my opinion.

Yeah it is like that forbidden fruit thing right. But it probably applies to girls more than guys. I can understand that opposites attract but having a relationship with someone opposite of you is not practical in my opinion.
